Washington – Representative Don Bacon has addressed concerns regarding recent ICE activities in Omaha. In his statement, he expressed confidence that ICE will operate within legal boundaries and treat individuals with respect. “We understand people’s concerns for their loved one’s safety and have full confidence and expectations that ICE will operate within their legal authority and treat people with respect,” said Rep. Bacon. He also noted that his office does not receive reports on individual enforcement operations but supports the rule of law.
Rep. Bacon encouraged those with questions to contact ICE’s toll-free number at 888-351-4024, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
Additionally, members of Rep. Bacon’s team visited an ICE facility to gather information about the situation. They reported that ICE had served a civil warrant at Glenn Valley Foods concerning stolen identities. It was confirmed that Glenn Valley Foods complied fully with E-Verify procedures and is considered a victim in this case.
For family members seeking information about detained relatives, they can contact ICE at 402-536-4861, which is designated specifically for family inquiries.
