Bacon hosts tele-townhall for Nebraska’s Second District on key national issues

Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) held a tele-townhall on November 5, 2025, engaging with residents of Nebraska’s Second Congressional District about current congressional and international issues.

The event drew approximately 7,300 participants. During the session, Rep. Bacon discussed topics such as the government shutdown, his bipartisan proposal to temporarily extend and reform Affordable Care Act tax credits, recent actions by the Administration against drug cartels, updates on the war in Ukraine, and his legislative priorities for the remainder of his term.

Don Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd district in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon earned a BA from Northern Illinois University in 1984 and also graduated from the University of Phoenix.
