Former Millard North High School standout Braden Cork took the mound for the Washburn Ichabods in an NCAA Division II baseball contest against the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers on Wednesday, March 4, at 3 p.m. Washburn came up short, falling 6-4 to the Rangers.

The game was held at Glass Family Field at Myers Stadium and marked the first meeting between these teams this season.

Cork pitched five innings, giving up four earned runs while notching two walks and three strikeouts.

The Ichabods will return to action on Friday, March 6, with a 3 p.m. game at Wendell Simmons Field facing the Central Oklahoma Bronchos.
