Christian Brothers fall 4-3 to Arkansas–Monticello in Division II baseball matchup

On Tuesday, March 17, at 3 p.m., the Christian Brothers Buccaneers—featuring former Creighton Preparatory School standout Thomas Leiden—were narrowly defeated 4-3 by the Arkansas–Monticello Boll Weevils in an NCAA Division II baseball game.

The contest was held at Weevils Field at Union Bank Park and marked the second time these teams faced each other this season. In their earlier meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24, the Buccaneers were defeated 19-4.

Leiden gave up two earned runs in 1.1 innings, posting two walks and two strikeouts.

The Buccaneers are set to play again on Friday, March 20, at 4 p.m. at Larry Carpenter Stadium at Olympic Field, where they will take on the Lee Flames.
