The Webster Gorloks, featuring former Omaha Central High School standout Claire Williams, were defeated 53-37 by the UW – Oshkosh Titans on Friday, March 6, in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
Held at Kolf Sports Center with a 7:15 p.m. tip-off, this game marked their first tournament matchup against the UW – Oshkosh Titans.
Omaha Softball will face St. Thomas in a key Summit League series starting April 10 after an eight-game win streak. The Mavericks have achieved their highest-ever mid-major ranking this season and recently celebrated pitcher Alexis Wiggins’ weekly league honor.
Creighton’s softball series against Georgetown has been rescheduled due to rain in the forecast. The teams will now play a doubleheader on Friday and one game Saturday. Fans with Sunday tickets can exchange them for another home game.
These former City of Omaha area high school athletes are set to compete on Friday, April 10.
