Cole Payton, a former standout at Westside High School and current player for the North Dakota State Bison, is set to participate in the NCAA Division I FCS Football Championship.

Entering the tournament as the top seed, they will compete against the Illinois State Redbirds, who are seeded 16th.

The opening game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, at 12 p.m.
