Creighton University’s men’s basketball team will face Seton Hall in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament on Thursday, March 12 at 1:30 p.m. Central. Creighton secured the No. 5 seed and a first-round bye after Butler defeated DePaul in regular-season play. Seton Hall holds the No. 4 seed.

The upcoming game will be broadcast on Peacock and NBC Sports Network, with radio coverage available in Omaha on 1620 The Zone and 101.9 The Keg.

During the regular season, both teams won their home games against each other in close contests decided in the final seconds. On January 4, Seton Hall overcame a significant deficit to win 56-54 with Najai Hines converting an offensive rebound into a three-point play with just over a second left. In their February 7 rematch, Creighton rallied from nine points down in the last minute and a half, with Nik Graves hitting a decisive three-pointer with only 2.5 seconds remaining for a 69-68 victory.

St. John’s finished as regular-season champions and is seeded first in the tournament, followed by Connecticut as second seed and Villanova third. Other seeds include DePaul (sixth), Marquette (seventh), Butler (eighth), Providence (ninth), Xavier (tenth), and Georgetown (eleventh).

The tournament begins Wednesday with Butler playing Providence at 3 p.m., Xavier facing Marquette at 5:30 p.m., and Georgetown meeting DePaul at 8 p.m., all Central time.

If Creighton advances past Seton Hall, they will play Friday’s semifinal at 4:30 p.m., broadcast on FOX. The championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 5:30 p.m., also airing on FOX.

Historically, Creighton has played Seton Hall once before in the BIG EAST Tournament, losing to them in the quarterfinals in 2016 by a score of 81-73.

Below is the schedule for this year’s BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament:
