Creighton University announced on Apr. 6 that its women’s softball team’s midweek game against South Dakota, scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed because of expected rain and bad weather.

The decision affects fans who had tickets for the originally planned contest. The university said those tickets will remain valid when a new date is set for the matchup.

A makeup date for the Creighton versus South Dakota game will be announced later. In the meantime, Creighton’s next scheduled game is still set to take place as planned. The Bluejays are slated to play against Drake University on Wednesday, April 8 at 5 p.m. in Des Moines, Iowa.

This postponement highlights how weather can impact spring sports schedules and create uncertainty for teams and fans alike. Further updates regarding rescheduling will be provided by Creighton University as they become available.
