Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of statements on his social media account on October 14, 2025, addressing issues ranging from anti-Semitism to government funding.

In a post published at 16:44 UTC, Bacon stated, “I reject all anti-Semites to include those from the so-called Right.”

Later the same day, at 19:17 UTC, he commented on American leadership, writing, “One of America’s best Generals and best Presidents!”

At 19:34 UTC, Bacon addressed government funding negotiations, stating, “Democrat Leadership should fund the government ‘without making extraneous and controversial demands.’ That’s exactly what @HouseGOP did by passing a bipartisan clean CR that mirrors spending levels Democrats supported 13 times under Pres. Biden.”

Bacon has served in Congress since 2017 after replacing Brad Ashford. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1984 and also attended the University of Phoenix.
