Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed his constituents and broader policy issues in a series of posts on July 20, 2025.
In one post, Bacon commented on international security concerns: “NATO is a defensive alliance. Russia invades its neighbors.” (July 20, 2025). Later that day, he announced an upcoming event for his constituents: ” Join me for my second townhall of the 119th Congress tomorrow, July 21, 2025, at 6:30 PM CT! Due to high interest, we’ll be using a tele-townhall format. Call in at 855-962-1225 or sign up via our website at https://t.co/euOj7t4fUe. I look forward to hearing from you!” (July 20, 2025).
Addressing U.S. support for Ukraine and public opinion on the issue, Bacon wrote: “I campaigned on supporting Ukraine and won. Most study history and know bad consequences occur when we appease an invading dictator. The last Gallup poll showed two-thirds of Americans want to maintain current support OR MORE for Ukraine.” (July 20, 2025).
Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd district since replacing Brad Ashford in Congress in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
