Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, announced new bipartisan legislation and marked the anniversary of the U.S. Space Force in several posts on December 20, 2025.
In a post at 16:30 UTC, Bacon wrote, “.@RepJimmyPanetta and I introduced bipartisan legislation to help local governments better support, hire, train, and retain local prosecutors critical to protecting local public safety.” The tweet was accompanied by a link providing further details about the proposed bill.
Later that day at 19:38 UTC, Bacon posted another message commemorating the establishment of a military branch: “Happy Sixth Birthday to the @USSpaceForce! Our team played a key role in making the Space Force a reality. The men and women serving as Guardians continue to do exceptional work defending our nation.”
