Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, recently posted a series of statements on social media regarding the ongoing conflict involving Russian military actions.

On October 16, 2025, Bacon posted a link without comment: https://t.co/q6qygMkgNH.

Later that day, he addressed President Biden directly in another post, writing: Don Bacon: “Mr President, send our friends the Tomahawk Missiles!” https://t.co/RakXhDA1Lq (October 16, 2025).

In his final tweet of the day, Bacon commented on ongoing hostilities attributed to Russia: It sounds a lot like “two more weeks.” Meanwhile, Putin continues to bomb cities and hospitals. https://t.co/r3Ey8VRO8X (October 16, 2025).

Don Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and currently resides in Papillion. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and is an alumnus of Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
