Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared his views on international relations and defense via social media on July 6, 2025.

Shortly after, at 22:31 UTC, Bacon emphasized the importance of military preparedness with a statement about defense capabilities: “This weapon is critical to stopping a potential amphibious attack and, therefore, a great deterrent. Deterring a war is what we seek.”

Don Bacon was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and resides in Papillion. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
