Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared his views on international relations and defense via social media on July 6, 2025.
In a post from that day, Bacon suggested a geopolitical move by stating, “We’d all be better off if Gunther moved back to the Kremlin.” This tweet was posted at 19:40 UTC.
Later in the evening at 22:23 UTC, he commented on global alliances with another post: “The fact that BRICS includes Russia and China tells us all we need to know.”
Shortly after, at 22:31 UTC, Bacon emphasized the importance of military preparedness with a statement about defense capabilities: “This weapon is critical to stopping a potential amphibious attack and, therefore, a great deterrent. Deterring a war is what we seek.”
