Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, posted several statements on his official social media account on March 12, 2026.

In one post at 01:19 UTC, Bacon wrote, “He is Whack-Job #1.” Later that morning at 01:28 UTC, he referenced recent developments in U.S. foreign policy by stating, “Rep. Don Bacon says U.S.-Israeli war with Iran is ‘long overdue,’ and ‘had to be done’ – CBS News”. At 02:06 UTC the same day, Bacon shared a personal reflection from his military service: “I enjoyed the nice Sunday dinners when I was in Iraq. Everyone did.”

Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and continues to represent Nebraska’s 2nd district. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, he holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
