Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted federal funding efforts and foreign policy views in a series of posts on his social media account.

On September 5, 2025, Bacon posted about recent federal support for Eppley Airfield, stating, “The $7 million grant for Eppley is the latest federal funding Bacon has worked to secure for the airport’s modernization and expansion.”

Later that day, he commented on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine: “In the last 1000 days, Ukraine has lost 1% of its territory to Russia’s barbaric invasion. With our Allies’ and our weapons, Ukraine can win this war on its terms. Russia may have had the cards, but it is losing.”

In another post from September 5, Bacon referenced economic policy by sharing a resource about conservative perspectives on tariffs: “Here’s the view of traditional Conservatives on tariffs: https://t.co/GluKjAwmMK”

Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, he holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
