Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on diplomatic and military issues in a series of posts on X in December 2025.
On December 16, Bacon described a recent meeting with Moldova’s Ambassador Vladislav Kulminski: “Met with Moldovan Ambassador Vladislav Kulminski, who told us that in just 4 years, Moldova went from 100% dependent on Russian gas to 0%. A second independence from Russia.”
The following day, Bacon addressed the ongoing war in Ukraine and called for increased U.S. military support: “Again… the U.S. should send 200 long-range and extremely accurate cruise missiles to Ukraine. Maybe then, Putin will get serious and seek peace. Putin started this war and he’ll stop this war once he realizes he cannot win and that the cost of war is too high.”
In another post on December 17, Bacon recounted an exchange with a lobbyist: “I told their lobbyist that when they visited our office. The lobbyist did not like hearing the truth.”
Bacon has served as Nebraska’s representative since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and resides in Papillion. He was born in Momence, Illinois, graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1984 with a BA degree, and also attended the University of Phoenix.
