Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, recently shared his perspectives on various issues through a series of tweets. Bacon, who succeeded Brad Ashford in Congress and was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, currently resides in Papillion.

On July 9, 2025, Rep. Bacon tweeted about his appearance on “Meet The Press.” He discussed the reconciliation bill and expressed contentment with President Biden’s decision to send weapons to Ukraine. He also mentioned his future plans after serving in Congress.

Later that day, he emphasized the importance of Ukraine to U.S. national security interests by stating that their fall would gravely hurt these interests.

On July 10, 2025, Rep. Bacon commended ICE agents for apprehending an MS-13 gang member illegally present in the country. He thanked law enforcement officers for their ongoing efforts to protect communities.
