Rep. Don Bacon, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, has used his social media accounts to highlight bipartisan efforts in Congress and local sports achievements.
On November 6, 2025, Bacon posted about legislative negotiations, stating, “Congress is in a logjam right now. That’s why @RepTomSuozzi, @RepJeffHurd, @RepJoshG & I agreed on a bipartisan framework to temporarily extend the ACA subsidies. Leadership on both sides like this plan. Thank you @JulieMasonShow1 for having me on.” In another post from the same day, he wrote, “Recording a podcast with @TomBecka to discuss the ACA Principles I drafted along with @RepTomSuozzi, @RepJeffHurd, & @RepJoshG.”
The following day, Bacon shifted focus to collegiate athletics with a congratulatory message: “43 Straight Sets. Congrats Husker Volleyball.” This message celebrated the ongoing success of Nebraska’s volleyball team.
Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District in Congress since defeating Brad Ashford in 2017 and resides in Papillion. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and graduated from Northern Illinois University as well as the University of Phoenix.
