Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on September 18, 2025, reflecting on his personal values, state pride, and military service.

In a post at 15:07 UTC, Bacon wrote, “I’m a man of faith and I’m an American before I’m a partisan. I want our country to work and thrive.”

Later that day at 17:44 UTC, he posted a brief message referencing his home state: “Nebraska Nice!”

At 19:07 UTC, Bacon marked the anniversary of the U.S. Air Force with a personal note about his own service: “Happy 78th Birthday @usairforce! I was lucky enough to serve roughly 38% of those years in the Air Force myself. We have the greatest Air Force in the world, and it has to be to defend America. Aim High…Fly-Fight-Win!”

Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford in Congress. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
