On Saturday, Nov. 29, the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks, featuring former Westside High School standout Grant Guyett, defeated the Indianapolis Greyhounds 35-27 in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The contest, held at Key Stadium at 2 p.m., marked the first tournament meeting between the Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks and the Indianapolis Greyhounds.

The Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks are scheduled to play their next game on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. at Top Taggart Field.
