Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted on his Twitter account about recent House votes to continue military support for Israel and Taiwan.
On July 18, 2025, Rep. Bacon announced the results of two significant House votes. In one post, he stated, “This morning the House overwhelmingly voted to continue providing military support to Israel by a 422-6 vote.” In another tweet later that morning, he shared, “Earlier this morning the House overwhelmingly voted to continue providing military support to Taiwan by a 421-6 vote.”
Additionally, Rep. Bacon responded to an online discussion involving Congresswoman Salazar, writing on July 18: “My hunch is Congresswoman Salazar knows her district much better than you.”
Don Bacon has served as the representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and also attended the University of Phoenix.
