Former Omaha Hockey forward Jacob Slipec has signed with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL, the team announced on Mar. 20.
Slipec’s move to professional hockey comes after a four-year collegiate career with the Mavericks, where he played in 124 games and recorded 12 goals and 12 assists for a total of 24 points. In his final season, Slipec contributed four goals and three assists before making the transition to the professional ranks.
Head coach Mike Gabinet said, “Jacob is a great example of hard work and dedication. It has been great to see his development over the last four years we wish him all the best as he turns pro.”
