Joe Kolega, a former standout at Skutt Catholic High School and current player for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, will participate in the NCAA Division I FCS Football Championship.
The Jackrabbits enter the tournament as the No. 14 seed and will face the No. 14-seeded New Hampshire Wildcats in their opening game.
The first game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m.
Omaha Hockey, seeded eighth in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Frozen Faceoff, will play top-seeded North Dakota in a quarterfinal series at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Omaha Hockey junior goaltender Will Craig has been selected for the 2026 National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Academic All-Conference Team, according to an announcement from the league.
