Nataya Lockett, the standout alum of Benson High School, took part in Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds’ 72-67 victory over the Texas–Permian Basin Falcons on Thursday, Feb. 26.
The 5-foot-8 senior guard tallied seven points, four rebounds and four steals in 23 minutes on the court.
Lockett and the Greyhounds are set to face the Angelo State Rams at home on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m.
Omaha Softball will face St. Thomas in a key Summit League series starting April 10 after an eight-game win streak. The Mavericks have achieved their highest-ever mid-major ranking this season and recently celebrated pitcher Alexis Wiggins’ weekly league honor.
Creighton’s softball series against Georgetown has been rescheduled due to rain in the forecast. The teams will now play a doubleheader on Friday and one game Saturday. Fans with Sunday tickets can exchange them for another home game.
These former City of Omaha area high school athletes are set to compete on Friday, April 10.
