Omaha Baseball pitcher Maddox Meyer has been named the Summit League Kwik Star Peak Pitcher of the Week, according to an announcement from the league on Tuesday. The recognition comes after Meyer’s performance against Arizona on February 17.
Meyer, a sophomore right-hander from Malcolm, Nebraska, struck out 10 batters over six scoreless innings and allowed only two hits in Omaha’s 3-1 win. This outing was noted as his best so far with the Mavericks.
Following this game, Meyer was ranked first on the Division I Baseball Tuesday Top Pitchers List.
The Omaha team is scheduled to play Wichita State in Wichita, Kansas, from February 26 to March 1. The series will begin at 3:05 p.m. CT on Thursday, February 26.
