Gannon Gragert, a former standout at Elkhorn High School and current player for the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats, is set to compete in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.
The Bearcats will start the tournament as the number one seed, facing off against the Harding Bison, who are also seeded first.
The opening game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m.
These former City of Omaha area high school standouts will be active on Tuesday, March 17.
Omaha Men’s Tennis swept Nicholls State twice in a doubleheader on March 15. Junior Christian Trevey led with wins in both singles and doubles as the Mavericks improved to a season record of 7-8.
Omaha Baseball has cancelled its March 16 game against Maine due to expected cold weather. Fans can seek ticket exchanges or refunds through the athletics box office. The team will return to action on March 20 against Northern Colorado.
