On June 15, 2025, Rep. Bacon extended his best wishes for Father’s Day, stating “Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers in NE02! Your strength, guidance, and love shape our families and communities. Enjoy your day!” His message was directed towards the fathers in Nebraska’s 2nd district, acknowledging their impact on family and community life.
Later that same day, Rep. Bacon commented on Israel’s military actions against Iran during an appearance on NEWSMAX. He expressed support for these actions by saying “ICYMI: I joined @NEWSMAX reacting to Israel’s precision strikes on Iran’s nuclear weapons program and military leadership. Israel’s actions are necessary and justified. A nuclear-armed Iran is an existential threat to Israel that cannot be allowed.”
On June 16, 2025, Rep. Bacon discussed developments regarding the Environmental Protection Agency’s draft Renewable Volume Obligations (RVOs) for the years 2026–27. He highlighted their positive implications for local agriculture by stating “ICYMI: @EPA’s draft RVOs for 2026–27 signal a win for Nebraska farmers and ethanol producers: lower fuel costs, stronger AG economy, and U.S. energy leadership.” He also thanked EPA representatives for considering stakeholder input and pledged ongoing advocacy efforts.
Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Don Bacon now resides in Papillion at age 59. His educational background includes a BA from Northern Illinois University obtained in 1984 and further studies at the University of Phoenix.
