The University of Nebraska Omaha announced on Apr. 2 that the Summit League baseball series between Omaha and South Dakota State has been canceled because of ongoing concerns about inclement weather.

The cancellation affects this weekend’s scheduled games, which will not take place as planned. The decision was made in response to the continued threat of bad weather, prioritizing the safety of players and attendees.

Officials said that information regarding possible rescheduling of the games will be provided at a later date. Updates are expected once further decisions have been made about when or if the games can be played.
