The Omaha Baseball team announced on Mar. 15 that its non-conference game against Maine, scheduled for Monday, March 16, has been cancelled because of forecasted low temperatures.

The cancellation affects fans and players who were preparing for the matchup at Tal Anderson Field. The team said it will resume play as Summit League competition continues on Friday, March 20, when Omaha faces Northern Colorado.

Ticketholders for the cancelled game are advised to contact the Omaha Athletics box office at 402-554-MAVS to arrange exchanges or refunds for their tickets.

Omaha Baseball also encouraged fans to stay connected through social media platforms X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram by following @OmahaBSB for updates and information about future games.

The decision reflects ongoing efforts by athletic programs to prioritize safety and comfort in response to changing weather conditions during the spring sports season.
