Omaha Track and Field concluded its indoor season at the Summit League Track and Field Indoor Championships in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on Friday and Saturday. The Mavericks finished tied for seventh place with 15 points.
During the meet, Omaha athletes achieved 12 personal records. Two team members advanced to finals in their individual events.
Sophomore Jocelynn Skoda from West Point, Nebraska, qualified fifth in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.96 seconds. She finished sixth in the finals with a time of 55.42 seconds, marking the fourth fastest time in program history.
Senior Grace Mustard from Columbus, Nebraska, reached the finals in the 60-meter hurdles after qualifying seventh with a time of 8.82 seconds—her qualifying mark is now ranked as the seventh fastest in program history. Mustard placed eighth in the final with a time of 8.99 seconds.
The Mavericks’ results included notable performances across multiple events:
– In sprints, Avyn Urbanski ran 7.60 seconds for eleventh place in the 60-meter dash preliminaries and placed fourteenth in the 200-meter dash.
– Ali Jacobs set a personal record of 8.09 seconds in her preliminary heat.
– Mari Keuck posted a personal best of 59.98 seconds in her preliminary heat for the 400 meters.
– Meredith Richter set a personal record of 2:13.24 minutes in the preliminary round of the 800 meters.
– Ainsley Anderson achieved personal bests both in the mile (5:16.82) and as part of her performance in other distance races.
– Sydney Beaudin recorded personal bests in both the 3000-meter (10:29.62) and 5000-meter runs (18:44.54).
– Hope Riedel set a new mark with her run of 17:47.43 minutes over 5000 meters.
– In field events, Shay Sinnard jumped to ninth place with a personal record leap of 5.63 meters; Ryleigh Robbins also set a new mark at 5.26 meters.
In relay events, Omaha’s teams placed sixth both in the women’s distance medley relay (12:34.46) and the women’s 4×400 meter relay (3:49.66).
Team standings were led by North Dakota State with a total score of 177 points, followed by South Dakota (143.5), North Dakota (141.5), St Thomas (79), South Dakota State (72), Kansas City (19), Omaha and Oral Roberts tied at seventh place each scoring fifteen points.
