Omaha Men’s Tennis will travel to face Marquette and Gustavus Adolphus at the end of March, according to a March 26 announcement. The Mavericks, who currently hold an 8-9 overall record and are 0-1 in Summit League play, aim to close out the month with strong performances on the road.

These upcoming matches are significant as Omaha seeks to build momentum following a weekend where they secured a narrow 4-3 win over Creighton but fell 5-2 against Oral Roberts. The team is looking for consistency as it heads into these non-conference matchups.

Graduate player Liam Spiers was named Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week after winning his singles matches against both Creighton (6-4, 6-4) and Oral Roberts (7-6 [4], 6-4). Spiers also teamed up with freshman Anthony Scheglowski to earn Doubles Team of the Week honors; together they clinched doubles points with wins over both opponents last weekend.

Historically, Omaha has performed well against Marquette, holding a 6-1 record and having won their last six meetings—including two consecutive sweeps by a score of 7-0. The Mavericks have not previously faced Gustavus Adolphus during the spring dual season.

The match against Marquette is scheduled for Friday, March 27 at 11 a.m. Central Time. Omaha will then take on Gustavus Adolphus on Sunday, March 29 at 10 a.m., with live statistics available for both contests and live streaming offered for Sunday’s match.
