Omaha Softball recorded its second loss of the season on Thursday, falling 10-2 to No. 7/8 Arkansas in a five-inning game at the Woo Pig Classic in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Mavericks now have a record of 12-2, while Arkansas improves to 14-1.
Bailey Sample hit her third home run of the season with two outs in the first inning. Taylor Sedlacek began the fourth inning with a home run to right field and currently leads Omaha with six home runs for the year.
Arkansas scored during each of its four innings at bat, tallying three runs in the first, one in the second, two in the third, and four more in the fourth. Omaha managed only two hits during the game.
The Mavericks will continue play tomorrow against Kansas and Charlotte, starting at 10 a.m. CT.
