Outfielder Marra Cramer hit her sixth home run of the season, but Omaha Softball lost 4-1 to No. 10/5 Nebraska on Saturday in Lincoln. Cramer’s solo shot came with two outs in the top of the seventh inning off Nebraska pitcher Jordy Frahm, sending the ball over right field.

Cramer, who was recently named Summit League Peak Performer of the Week, leads Omaha with 27 runs batted in for the season. She reached base twice during the game—once on a walk in the second inning and again with her home run. Freshman Hailey Boltz, a Lincoln native, recorded Omaha’s only other hit with an infield single in the sixth inning.

Omaha managed just three baserunners against Frahm throughout the game. Maddia Groff pitched a complete game for Omaha, allowing 10 hits while walking none and striking out four batters.

Nebraska scored one run each in the second, fourth, fifth, and sixth innings. Jesse Farrell hit a home run for Nebraska in the second inning and Ava Kuszak added another homer in the sixth.

Three of Omaha’s five losses this season have come against teams ranked in the national top ten. The Mavericks will face No. 10/5 Nebraska again on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT on Big Ten Plus.
