Marra Cramer drove in six runs as the Omaha Mavericks softball team split two games on the final day of the Woo Pig Classic in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Omaha (14-4) began Saturday with a 12-6 victory over Boise State. In that game, Cramer hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning and added a two-run single in the seventh. She finished with five runs batted in. The Mavericks built an early lead with a six-run second inning, highlighted by Alyson Edwards’ two-run double. Bailey Sample scored three runs, and Alexis Wiggins earned her sixth win after pitching into the sixth inning.

Later in the day, Omaha faced No. 7/8 Arkansas and fell 4-2 despite outhitting the Razorbacks 10-6. Omaha twice took early leads against Arkansas. In the first inning, Cramer’s two-out infield single brought home Sample for a 1-0 lead. After Arkansas tied it, Sammy Schmidt led off the second with a home run to right-center field to put Omaha back ahead.

Arkansas responded in the fourth when Kailey Wyckoff hit a two-run home run off Omaha starter Grace Hornbuckle. Wyckoff also homered to start the bottom of the sixth inning.

In their last chance at bat, Omaha loaded the bases with one out after singles from Rylinn Groff and Katherine Johnson and Sample being hit by a pitch. However, Arkansas pitcher Robyn Herron ended the threat with a strikeout and flyout.

Johnson, Cramer, and Ava Rongisch each had two hits for Omaha during their game against Arkansas.

Cramer previously hit two home runs and drove in five runs Friday during a win over Charlotte.

Omaha is scheduled to return to play on March 7 against ninth-ranked Nebraska in Lincoln.
