Omaha Softball will travel to face St. Thomas in a three-game Summit League series beginning Friday, April 10. The Mavericks, who have a record of 24-7 overall and are undefeated in league play at 6-0, last played on March 29.

This matchup is significant as Omaha brings an eight-game winning streak into the series and has been ranked in each of the first nine D1Softball.com Mid-Major rankings this season, including holding the No. 1 spot—the highest ranking in program history. Omaha is currently ranked third in both the D1Softball Mid-Major Poll (week nine) and the Softball America Mid-Major Rankings (week ten).

The Mavericks have had notable success against St. Thomas historically, with a 7-4 all-time record and a 4-2 mark on the road against them. After starting this season with an eleven-game win streak—the best start for Omaha as a Division I program—they received votes in the NFCA Coaches Poll for only the seventh time since joining Division I.

Pitcher Alexis Wiggins was named Kwik Star Summit League Peak Pitcher of the Week after her most recent performances, during which she pitched eight shutout innings across two appearances without allowing any runs and striking out four batters.

Looking ahead, Omaha will close out its regular-season home schedule with a three-game set against South Dakota State beginning April 17 before hosting Nebraska for their home finale on Tuesday, April 21.
