On Saturday, Nov. 22, Peyton Turman, a former Elkhorn High School standout, saw his current college team, the Chadron State Eagles, fall 21-17 to the Pittsburg State Gorillas in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The game, held at Carnie Smith Stadium at noon, marked the Eagles’ first encounter with the Pittsburg State Gorillas in this tournament.
