Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, recently posted several updates on his official X account, including commentary on international relations and communications with constituents.

On August 31, 2025, Rep. Bacon wrote: “Two historical adversaries, but temporarily united against democracy, free markets, rule of law, human rights, Uyghurs, Ukrainians, Tibetans, Taiwan and, most definitely, the United States.”

Later that day he encouraged engagement from his followers: “Stay Up To Date! Sign up for my newsletter to receive the latest updates from my office.” (August 31, 2025).

On September 1, 2025 Rep. Bacon added: “I read this just for folks like you.”

Rep. Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and represents Nebraska’s 2nd District. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. His educational background includes a BA from Northern Illinois University and further studies at the University of Phoenix.
