Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, shared several thoughts on social media in early April 2026. His posts touched on American foreign policy, the spread of misinformation online, and his preferences for content curation on digital platforms.

On April 5, 2026, Rep. Bacon posted: “America First is not America Alone. America Alone is a Weaker America.” The following day, he added another post stating: “This is truth. https://t.co/kQmgCshlVo” Later that same day, he commented on his experience using the platform X: “I wish “X” put in my feed only the posts of who I follow and what they repost. I hate reading all the fake accounts, whacko conspiracists, bots and bigots.”

Don Bacon has served as the congressional representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion at age 59. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University (BA, 1984) and the University of Phoenix.
