Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing international relations and political disagreements.
On November 18, 2025, Bacon wrote: “A strong relationship between the largest democracy and the oldest & strongest democracy makes strategic sense. Our two countries must work closer together to defend the values of the free world.”
Hours later, on November 19, 2025, he issued a pointed message: “You are an Anti-Semite. We want nothing to do with you. Join up with the Omars and Tlaibs… this is where you belong.”
Later that day, Bacon commented on U.S. foreign policy regarding Russia and Ukraine: “I totally disagree with the Administration negotiating w/ the Russians & not the Ukrainians, and their plan to demand the Ukrainians accept the agreement as a ‘fait accompli.’ Not involving the Europeans is foolish. The U.S. did this too with South Vietnam & the Afghan”.
Bacon has served in Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and represents Nebraska’s 2nd district. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University (BA) and from the University of Phoenix.
