Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, addressed a range of issues on his social media account on October 21, 2025.

In one post from that day, Bacon commented on an addition to a public display supporting Israel: “Some kind-hearted soul put a bumper sticker on our Stand with Israel board. We agree! Free Palestine…from Hamas.” (October 21, 2025).

Later the same day, he called for bipartisan cooperation in reopening the federal government: “Let’s get the government open and swear her in! A clean CR has always been the bipartisan solution and one that Dems have supported for the last 13 times.” (October 21, 2025).

Bacon also highlighted constituent services amid a government shutdown: “Despite the Democrat Leadership shutdown, our team is here to help NE-02 residents with issues they are facing with federal agencies. Agencies may have slower response times & minimal staffing, but we can still submit requests & advocate on your behalf.” (October 21, 2025).

Don Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in Congress in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
