Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several key domestic and national issues in a series of posts on November 5, 2025.
In his first message, Bacon highlighted the ongoing challenge of housing affordability: “One of the number one domestic issues we face is how to create more affordable housing. We need to look at how to help people purchase their first homes.” (posted November 5, 2025).
Turning to national security and drug policy, Bacon commented on recent actions by the President regarding drug trafficking: “I appreciate the President identifying the deadly flow of drugs killing 100,000 Americans every year. However the President should come to Congress and ask for our authorization. We want to see if these strikes are legal and what the intelligence is.” (posted November 5, 2025).
Addressing immigration policy, Bacon wrote: “The President should declare victory at the border with the lowest levels of illegal immigration going back 25 years. Now is the time to reform our immigration system. We need to secure our nation’s economic future.” (posted November 5, 2025).
Bacon has served as a member of Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017 and currently resides in Papillion, Nebraska. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
