In one post, Bacon called for transparency regarding a recent incident in Iran: “ICYMI: We must investigate the tragic school bombing in Iran. Let’s learn the truth and be transparent & honest. Addressing political officeholders, Bacon wrote later that day: “When one runs for elected office, one commits to representing their constituents for an entire term, not resigning early for selfish reasons.” (March 10, 2026).

On foreign policy and sanctions against Russia, Bacon stated: “Reducing sanctions on Putin’s Russia when we just learned the Russians are giving targeting intelligence to Iran is clearly the WRONG strategy. The Russians are helping Iran to kill our service members. We want more sanctions on Russia, not less.” (March 10, 2026).

Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
