Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on his official social media account addressing local pride, congratulating a colleague, and commenting on international affairs.

On September 18, 2025, Bacon posted: “Nebraska Nice Once Again! https://t.co/uUpKCvY1af”.

Later that day, he offered congratulations to Brandon Williams for his new role, stating: “Congrats to Brandon Williams! He’s my friend and has extensive military service dealing with nuclear weapons. America will be well served. https://t.co/UIahtxQUmt” (September 19, 2025).

In another post from September 19, Bacon commented on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia: “Ukraine has targeted Russia’s oil production that props up its war economy and crimes against humanity. Approximately 25% of Russia’s oil production and infrastructure is destroyed. Russia started this war and is now feeling the consequences. https://t.co/UU1JhXJSMt”.

Bacon has served as the congressional representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon resides in Papillion and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
