Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on November 14, 2025, addressing topics ranging from political polarization to military service and transparency regarding Epstein-related documents.
In a post on November 14, Bacon highlighted a quote from Punchbowl News: “.@PunchbowlNews: ‘The disappearing middle. Bacon and Golden are two of the most prominent moderates in the House and they repeatedly survived brutal reelection battles in tough districts. These days, anyone in the middle is taking incoming from both sides in an increasingly’”.
Later that day, Bacon recognized Nebraskans for their military service, stating on his social media account: “This week, we honor Nebraskans who have shown admirable devotion to our country through military service…these Nebraskans displayed the highest dedication to duty and service.” He also directed readers to his latest op-ed published by OWHnews.
Addressing government transparency, Bacon wrote: “I will vote yes on the discharge petition and support the release of any Epstein documents held by the Executive. @GOPoversight has already done great work, releasing nearly 30K pages of material. As long as victims are protected, we should continue bringing the truth to light.”
Don Bacon has served as a member of Congress since 2017 after replacing Brad Ashford as representative for Nebraska’s 2nd district. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently residing in Papillion, Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
