Rep. Don Bacon, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district, posted a series of updates on his social media account between December 3 and December 4, 2025, addressing local events and his upcoming media appearance.

On December 3, Rep. Bacon issued a brief alert: “Tracker Alert https://t.co/exJMQlDFvU”.

Later that evening, he commented on a violent incident involving law enforcement in Omaha, stating: “Angie and I are deeply saddened to hear about today’s shooting that injured three Omaha Police officers. We are praying for their quick recoveries and for their families during this difficult time. I’m grateful to these brave officers and all our first responders who protect our” (December 3, 2025).

The following day, Bacon informed followers of an upcoming television appearance: “Joining @CNN shortly. Tune in!” (December 4, 2025).

Rep. Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2017 after succeeding Brad Ashford. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon currently resides in Papillion and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
