In his first post at 18:05 UTC on November 4, Rep. Bacon wrote: “The four of us, two Republicans and two Democrats, want to break the log jam that has stopped all federal workers from being paid, cut SNAP benefits in half for 40 million Americans and threatens military pay.”
Later that day at 18:13 UTC, Bacon shared information about a scheduled event: ‘”Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon will host a townhall in an over-the-phone format Tuesday evening. A release from Rep. Bacon’s office says they will be holding a “tele-townhall,” starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.” @WOWT6News’

Rep. Don Bacon has represented Nebraska’s 2nd District since replacing Brad Ashford in Congress in 2017 and resides in Papillion after being born in Momence, Illinois in 1963. He holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
