Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account on October 19, 2025, addressing topics ranging from Russian politics to Pentagon press restrictions and historical events in Ukraine.
In one post published at 12:51 p.m., Bacon stated, “Putin murdered his political rivals.”
Later that day at 1:07 p.m., he commented on recent developments involving media coverage and government transparency: “The fact that even Fox and NewsMax refused to accept the new Pentagon press restrictions says it all.”
At 3:02 p.m., Bacon referenced a significant event in Ukrainian history with the following message: “For some reason the Ukrainians are ungrateful for the four million Ukrainians intentionally starved to death by Stalin and his henchmen in the 1930s.”
Don Bacon has served as a member of Congress since replacing Brad Ashford in 2017. He was born in Momence, Illinois, in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
