Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, addressed constituents and political issues in a series of posts on November 5, 2025.
In his first post, Bacon thanked participants in a recent tele-townhall, writing on November 5: “Thank you to the 7,300 of you who tuned in and participated in tonight’s tele-townhall. It’s an honor to serve this great district! I have a year and a half left and I’m going to make sure I run through the tape.”
Later that day, Bacon responded to questions regarding his criticism of Nick Fuentes during the town hall. On November 5, he posted: “I was asked in our town hall why I criticize Nick Fuentes ‘who brings young folks into the GOP.’ The answer is simple. We don’t want anti-Semites in the GOP. He is a fan of Hitler & Stalin, which makes him not a conservative. The Far Right are not conservatives.”
In another post on November 5, Bacon referenced bipartisan efforts on health care policy amid ongoing government funding challenges: “The compromise framework from GOP Reps. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) and Jeff Hurd (R-Colo.) and Democratic Reps. Tom Suozzi (D-N.Y.) and Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) is the first public tangible offering on health care policy since the near-record-setting government shutdown began.”
Bacon has served as representative for Nebraska’s 2nd District since succeeding Brad Ashford in 2017. Born in Momence, Illinois in 1963, Bacon currently resides in Papillion and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and the University of Phoenix.
