Rep. Don Bacon, a U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 2nd district since 2017, addressed international affairs and local community engagement in a series of posts on March 18, 2026.
In one post, Bacon commented on the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, stating, “I support negotiations, but we should not act like referees between two equal sides. Ukraine is a democracy under attack. Russia is the aggressor, bombing cities, killing POWs, and kidnapping children. There is a right and wrong here, and we should be clear about it.” (March 18, 2026).
Later that day, Bacon highlighted a longstanding tradition for Nebraskans visiting Washington: “Thank you to everyone who attended the Nebraska Breakfast this morning! Planning a trip to Washington, D.C.? Join your fellow Nebraskans for Nebraska Breakfast every Wednesday when Congress is in session! RSVP and learn more here: https://t.co/ODc0zBrnuM https://t.co/faFPallXs7” (March 18, 2026).
