Rep. Don Bacon, who represents Nebraska’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account on October 2, 2025, addressing topics ranging from the war in Ukraine to antisemitism and congressional funding for veterans.
In a post made at 15:02 UTC, Bacon commented on the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia: “Ukrainians will force Russians to ride their bicycles this winter. The Russians can thank Putin.”
Later that day, at 15:57 UTC, he addressed concerns about hate speech, writing: “Antisemitism is repugnant and an evil that we must have absolutely zero tolerance for. We have too many on the left & right that promote antisemitic tropes and we should publicly shame them at every opportunity.”

Bacon has served in Congress since 2017 after replacing Brad Ashford as representative of Nebraska’s 2nd district. He was born in Momence, Illinois in 1963 and currently resides in Papillion. Bacon graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in 1984 and also attended the University of Phoenix.
